SUPPORT POLLINATORS COMMUNITY

Honey bees, along with wild and native bees, pollinate at least one third of the food crops that end up in our kitchens.

NectarShare makes beekeeping accessible to everyone, so we can support our pollinators and our communities, too!

How NectarShare Works

Buy a share of a beehive and follow its progress for a whole year!

Select a package, enjoy perks, and share in your hive’s success.

Each hive is part of a larger apiary benefitting important causes.

Meet the Team

We are a group of dedicated, professional beekeepers from Central Virginia.

We pay fair and livable wages to our employees, empowering them to realistically make a living as beekeepers while doing the right thing for our pollinators.

Allison
Wickham

Known by many simply as
“the bee lady.” Allison has a
background in agricultural
science. She brings that
knowledge to beekeeping
and her management of
pollinator habitats.

Erin
Buchanan

Erin started beekeeping on
a tropical crop farm in Hawaii.
She has also gained pollinator
plant experience from her time
in the landscaping industry.

Stephanie
Rinaldi

Stephanie started beekeeping
after moving out to the country
with her partner and her dog.
In addition to her work at
NectarShare, she is a fantasy
and science fiction author.

Malcolm
Augat

Beekeeping runs in
Malcolm’s blood. His
grandfather breeds
queen bees in France!
He also fosters dogs and
supports his community
through volunteerism.

Reagan
Wilson

Reagan started beekeeping
in high school! She’s also really
into music and fencing – pretty
cool considering the veils for
beekeeping and fencing are
almost identical!

Thomas
Kovach

Thomas is NectarShare’s
Marketing Designer. When
he’s not busy taking pictures of
bees or updating the website,
he’s working on his web comic.
Yes, it’s about bees!
